    Hello! I'm Julia Granacki, a Health Coach and Pilates instructor. As a multi-disciplinary practitioner, I am dedicated to empowering women and individuals from diverse backgrounds to take control of their health, understand their bodies, and become more joyful, vital, and active! With over 15 years of experience working in corporate culture, I am also passionate about building healthier and happier work environments. I believe in a holistic approach to health that goes beyond just nutrition. My practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, proven behavioral change models, and effective coaching techniques. ​ I received my BFA from the University of Central Florida , my Health Coaching and Hormone Health Certifications from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) , and my Designing a Sustainable Nutrition Plan Certification from Harvard Medical School . My Pilates Mat and Equipment certifications are from the Kane School of Pilates , where I also trained in prenatal and postnatal Pilates and various types of injury recovery. Additionally, I have done coursework and training with The Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) , one of the nation’s most respected resources for building high-performing, healthy workplaces. ​ I studied meditation and philosophy at Philosophy Works in New York City, where I received my mantra for Transcendental Meditation (TM) in 2013. Stages of Change The Transtheoretical Model (TTM) teaches us that change is possible, as it involves intentional decision-making and five distinct stages of progress: Precontemplation - acknowledging the need for change. Contemplation - serious consideration of the problem at hand. Preparation - taking steps to make change happen. Action - putting in the work to overcome the problem. Maintenance - never giving up and continuing to work towards maintaining the gains made. SMART Goals SMART goals require clear definition of all variables related to objectives. S.M.A.R.T. stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Specific determines who, what, where, and why. Measurable tracks progress. Achievable ensures resources are available. Relevant connects to deeper motivations. Time-bound establishes a deadline with steps for success. Be the inspiration that drives you! My Story Hi! I'm Julia, a recovering C-suite Executive Assistant! Like many others, I came to the health and wellness space to better understand my own body. Living with burnout, approaching menopause, and looking to overcome autoimmune issues, pain, and poor body mechanics from sitting at a desk most of the day, I embarked on a journey of self-reflection and discovery. Unfortunately, this also came with frustration, misdiagnoses, and a hella lot of gaslighting . ​ Filled with exasperation at the absence of information and attention given to women’s health issues, I started a podcast about the subject. A few months later, I returned to school for my health coaching certification and to finish my Pilates apparatus training. ​ At 45 and after a traumatic knee injury, I took a bold step and left my lucrative job in real estate development and finance to pursue a career in wellness. It was terrifying, but I was determined to fill the information gap in healthcare and empower people, particularly women, to take control of their bodies and pursue their best life at any age. ​ I consider it an incredible privilege to be able to earn a living by pursuing my passion. For a long time I thought it was too late to pivot to a new career.
